The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 comes with linear fork springs from the factory. The Wilbers solution, on the other hand, uses progressive fork springs, which leads to improved responsiveness and offers considerably more reserve in the second spring rate than the linear fork springs.
The rebound damping in the fork is slightly overdamped in the standard version.
The rear shock absorber of the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is fitted with a progressive spring as standard, but this has a dramatically poor block value, causing the rider to ride permanently in the second spring, which is clearly too hard. This makes the vehicle feel very uncomfortable and unstable. In combination with a linear spring with optimised rebound and compression damping, the Wilbers solution offers much better feedback from the road. This increases driving comfort and safety! To counteract the rear-heavy setting of the vehicle, we increase the negative spring travel accordingly.
With this shock absorber the compression tank is connected to the shocks´ body by a flexible steel hose. Therefore it is an ideal alternative for road motorcycles with limited space. The hose can be placed individually where there is enough space for example on the rear frame where air flow can provide additional cooling. The adjustment screws for high- and low-speed compression, each tunable in 22 clicks, can be easily reached from the outside. Rebound can be modified by an open bleed system in 22 clicks and the preload is continuously adjustable.

NOTE
Spring preload and rebound damping adjustable. Hydraulic preload adjuster recommended, since it's not adjustable withouh
