Really pleased with the performance of this shock. Now that the shock has been broken in, the ride feels so much more plush and comfortable. I bought the one with the threaded adjuster and it's not too difficult to turn the preload ring. I had reached out to the guys at EPM to ask if going for Wilbers was worth the extra money but they said that YSS is the best bang for the buck. I definitely agree with them, the YSS shock is legit.
I installed this 30mm lowering kit with rear shock spring and front fork springs and so far, I'm completely happy with my decision to lower my KTM 390 ADV. I am 5' 6-3/4" tall and was very unstable when stopping on uneven ground. I am even more excited about the bike now that I can place both feet on the ground. I wish that this came with a shortened side stand. I have to have a local welding shop cut 1 inch off of my OEM stand.
What a difference a rebuild makes. I've put about a thousand miles on my '13RT since the rebuild and love the way it handles. I've own the bike since new and put over 100,000 miles on it and didn't realize how much the rear shock had degraded until I had it rebuilt. Rides and handles great!
So far installed only the front. It made the bike much more planted and secure compared to stock setup and I'm very happy with the improvement. I'm confident the rear will be up to par with the front.
Note that these springs do lift the bike a decent bit and extending the sidestand will be necessary. Also would appreciate a bit more oil in the delivery - what came was just a bit more than required, an extra 100 ml would make my sausage fingers less worried about spills.

They rebuilt my rear shock fom a Honda ST1300 motorcycle, of unknown age (it was a used backup). They weren't sure at first if they could do a proper job, but went ahead to take a look and got it back to performing like new.
