Shock Absorber Type 641 Competition
The stock fork exhibits relatively poor responsiveness. When combined with SKF oil seals, the Wilbers upgrade delivers a much smoother and more sensitive fork response. The rear shock features a slightly softer spring along with optimized rebound and compression damping, ensuring improved ride comfort and control.
The suspension geometry at both the front and rear axles has been carefully refined and optimized by adjusting the negative spring travel. The stock setup has excessive negative deflection, which is corrected with a slightly shorter suspension strut, maintaining the original seat height. The result is smoother ride quality, sharper handling, and improved safety.
This shock absorber connects its compression tank to the main body using a flexible steel hose, making it an ideal option for motorcycles with limited space. The hose can be positioned flexibly — for example, along the rear frame — where airflow provides additional cooling. The external high- and low-speed compression adjusters, each offering 22 clicks, are easily accessible. Rebound damping can be adjusted via an open-bleed system with 22 clicks, and the spring preload is continuously adjustable.

Fantastic. Such a huge improvement over the stock suspension set up. This bike has never ridden so well. Firmly planted, feels like it's locked onto the road. Soaks up everything from the smallest imperfections to the worst expansion joints. No more spine crushing blows! It will make you fall in love with your bike all over again.
I installed these with the -30mm Hyperpro rear spring. The front end doesn't dive hard anymore when I hit the brakes. And the suspension feels better overall; the bumps aren't near as bad. The lowering also helped me with getting flat footed. Extremely satisfied.
