Shock Absorber Type 640 Road
The standard fork is equipped with very soft springs. The Wilbers solution upgrades these to slightly stiffer, progressive springs for improved feedback, stability, and comfort.
On the rear shock, the spring rate has been refined using a slightly firmer spring combined with optimized rebound and compression damping. This configuration ensures more controlled movement and better traction, especially on uneven surfaces.
The suspension geometry on both the front and rear axles has been sensibly adjusted via the negative spring travel. In the stock configuration, the vehicle exhibits excessive negative deflection. This is corrected with a slightly shorter suspension strut, maintaining the original seat height while improving suspension balance and responsiveness. The result is smoother ride quality, sharper handling, and enhanced safety.
The basic edition of the Wilbers Adjustline mono shock absorber features the same advanced technology as the more complex versions. The only difference is the omission of the compression reservoir and, therefore, the ability to adjust high- and low-speed compression. Despite this, it makes no compromises in response behavior or durability. The radial piston, wet-run operation, and Teflon-guided self-aligning bearings redefine the quality standard for a mono shock. As usual, the spring preload can be continuously adjusted, and the rebound damping can be fine-tuned via an open-bleed system in 22 clicks. The shock absorber can also be retrofitted with numerous Wilbers accessories.

Haven't ridden yet, I had to wait on inner fork tubes but the seals look well made
Bryan, Mike and Frank and the crew were great work with to help get my YSS re302 sorted with a better spring rate. (46-13-28-180mm) Yesterday I went down a very chattery road and was surprised how much smoother the ride was. I recommend working with EPM Performance.
I installed this on a 2022 RC390 that I use for a track day bike. I could not be more pleased with the performance of this shock it is a huge upgrade over stock. within two laps I was on my previous year PB lap time with far less effort. Out of the box first impression was WOW! this is a well made very nice piece of kit, installation was a Breeze. For anyone on a budget like Myself trying to improve your bike and skill you cant go wrong with this for the price. My hat is off to YSS for producing a shock like this for guys like me.
