Sometimes technical accessories or tightly fitted covers prevent the installation of a shock absorber with a compression reservoir. When installation is possible at all, it is often a poor compromise and access to the adjustment knobs is not guaranteed. Really pleased with the performance of this shock. Now that the shock has been broken in, the ride feels so much more plush and comfortable. I bought the one with the threaded adjuster and it's not too difficult to turn the preload ring. I had reached out to the guys at EPM to ask if going for Wilbers was worth the extra money but they said that YSS is the best bang for the buck. I definitely agree with them, the YSS shock is legit.
I installed this 30mm lowering kit with rear shock spring and front fork springs and so far, I'm completely happy with my decision to lower my KTM 390 ADV. I am 5' 6-3/4" tall and was very unstable when stopping on uneven ground. I am even more excited about the bike now that I can place both feet on the ground. I wish that this came with a shortened side stand. I have to have a local welding shop cut 1 inch off of my OEM stand.
