In the rear, we succeeded in realising a pleasant and comfortable ride with our Ecoline type 540 suspension struts by adjusting the negative spring travel as well as the rebound damping.
The vehicle now works with the driver and no longer against him.
There was also a need to adjust the fork, especially the response to short, hard jolts was not convincing in the original.
Here we used our proven solution for the Harley Davidson Touring models: ZERO friction fork springs with adapted damping also work simply outstanding for the Freewheeler.

Fantastic. Such a huge improvement over the stock suspension set up. This bike has never ridden so well. Firmly planted, feels like it's locked onto the road. Soaks up everything from the smallest imperfections to the worst expansion joints. No more spine crushing blows! It will make you fall in love with your bike all over again.
I installed these with the -30mm Hyperpro rear spring. The front end doesn't dive hard anymore when I hit the brakes. And the suspension feels better overall; the bumps aren't near as bad. The lowering also helped me with getting flat footed. Extremely satisfied.
