Shock Absorber Type 641 Competition
From the factory, the Can-Am Ryker Rally 900 is tuned far too softly, resulting in a “spongy” and unstable feel when cornering. This compromises both stability and riding enjoyment.
The Wilbers suspension solution addresses this by using a firmer spring rate and optimized shock absorber damping. Two front shock setups are available: a comfort/standard configuration and a sportier alternative. The rear shock absorber is custom-tuned to the rider’s profile for a perfectly balanced ride.
The suspension geometry on both the front and rear axles has been optimized by adjusting the negative spring travel. The stock configuration features excessive negative travel, which is corrected using slightly shorter suspension struts while maintaining the original seat height. The result is improved handling, comfort, and stability.
This shock absorber connects its compression tank to the main body using a flexible steel hose, making it an ideal solution for motorcycles with limited space. The hose can be positioned freely wherever space and airflow allow — such as on the rear frame — for additional cooling. The external high- and low-speed compression adjusters, each offering 22 clicks, are easy to reach. Rebound damping can be modified via an open-bleed system with 22 clicks, and the spring preload is continuously adjustable.
